Day 1 :

Arrival in Kigali & City Tour

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, embark on a Kigali City Tour, visiting:

Kigali Genocide Memorial – A moving tribute to the victims of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide.
Kimironko Market – A bustling local market showcasing Rwandan culture and crafts.
Mount Kigali Viewpoint – Offers panoramic views of the city’s rolling hills.

Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before an overnight stay at a comfortable Kigali hotel.

Day 2 :

Transfer to Volcanoes National Park & Gorilla Trekking

After breakfast, drive to Volcanoes National Park, located in Musanze, about a 2.5-hour journey from Kigali. This park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas, making it one of Africa’s top primate trekking destinations.

After a briefing at the park headquarters, embark on an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure through the misty jungle. The trek can last from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla families. Upon finding them, spend a magical one hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.

After trekking, visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to learn about Rwandan traditions, music, and dance. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 3 :

Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park & Canopy Walk

Depart early for Nyungwe Forest National Park, a 5-hour scenic drive through Rwanda’s stunning countryside. This ancient rainforest is home to chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, and a variety of bird species.

In the afternoon, experience the famous Nyungwe Canopy Walk, a thrilling adventure on a 160-meter-long suspension bridge hanging 70 meters above the forest floor. This provides breathtaking views of the treetops and wildlife below.

Check in to your lodge for dinner and rest in preparation for the next day's adventure.

Day 4 :

Chimpanzee Tracking & Transfer to Akagera National Park

Wake up early for chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe’s lush forest. Led by expert guides, follow the sounds of the playful and energetic chimpanzees, observing them in their natural habitat. The trek can last 2-4 hours, depending on their movement.

After the trek, depart for Akagera National Park, located in the eastern part of Rwanda, a 6-hour drive from Nyungwe. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge, have dinner, and prepare for an exciting game drive the next day.

Day 5 :

Game Drive & Boat Safari in Akagera National Park

Start the day with an early morning game drive through Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s only savannah park. This park is home to the Big Five—lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos—alongside giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and hippos.

After the game drive, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you can see crocodiles, hippos, and numerous bird species.

Later, drive back to Kigali (about 3 hours) for your departure flight or drop-off at your hotel, marking the end of an incredible 5-day Rwanda safari.
