Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Depending on your arrival time, you may take an optional visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Center or a sunset boat cruise on Lake Victoria. Relax and prepare for an exciting journey ahead.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The journey takes you through rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural villages, offering a glimpse of Uganda’s countryside. Enjoy a stopover at the Equator for photography and an en-route lunch in Mbarara. Arrive at Bwindi in the evening and check in to your lodge.

Today is the highlight of your safari—gorilla trekking! After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before trekking through dense forests in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take 2–6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements.

Once you find them, spend a magical hour observing their behavior, taking photos, and learning about conservation efforts. After the trek, return to the lodge for relaxation or an optional cultural visit to the Batwa pygmy community.

After breakfast, cross the border into Rwanda and head to Volcanoes National Park, the home of the famous mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. Enjoy the scenic drive through rolling hills and lush landscapes. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and have time to relax or explore the nearby town of Musanze.

Optional Activities: Visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to learn about Rwandan traditions.

Begin your day with golden monkey tracking in Volcanoes National Park. These playful primates are endemic to the Virunga Mountains and are a joy to watch as they leap through bamboo forests. The trek is easier than gorilla trekking and lasts about 2–3 hours.

After lunch, drive to Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant capital, known for its cleanliness and rich history. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, which provides a touching insight into Rwanda’s past and resilience.

Depart Kigali for Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s only savanna park and home to the Big Five—lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffaloes. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and embark on an afternoon game drive through the park’s rolling hills, open plains, and woodland savannahs. Expect to see giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and various bird species.

Enjoy an early morning boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, and water birds up close. Later, embark on a final game drive before heading back to Kigali for your departure flight.
